Management and Location
Q. Do you sponsor COE (Certificate of Eligibility)?
A. Suzuki Language School offers classes for residents of Japan and online students abroad. We do not sponsor visa applications.
Q. Is there a bus stop near school?
A. The Rainbow Bus stop "Shibaura 3chome" is in front of the building, an 8-minute ride from Shinagawa Station. JR Tamachi Station and Toei Subway Asakusa Line Mita Station are also a 7-8 minute walk to Suzuki Language School.
Q. Is parking available?
A. Yes, there are three timed car parks in front of the building, as well as several hourly parking lots nearby.
Classes
Q. How long are the group courses
A. Group classes have no fixed duration. Classes continue as long as there are at least 3 students present.
Q. Are the materials included in class?
A. Textbooks are required for group classes and must be purchased before the free trial class.
Q. What is the policy for missing a class after paying the monthly group tuition?
A. If you miss a class after paying monthly tuition, you will receive class recordings and homework corrections. You can submit homework for corrections and ask questions via email.
Q. What is the procedure for canceling or rescheduling a private lesson?
A. Students can reschedule for free with at least 24 hours' notice. If canceled within 24 hours, the lesson is considered taken.
Lesson Fees
Q. How much are the group classes?
A. The monthly fee is a fixed rate of ¥12,000/$80 per person for four weekly classes (totaling four hours). Rates may vary depending on the number of weeks in a month. The drop-in fee is ¥4,500/$30 per person per hour.
Q. Do I need to purchase hours for private sessions?
A. Private/semi-private lessons are paid per session with no obligation to continue.
Q. How much are the private sessions?
A. Private/semi-private lesson rates may vary:
Online private lesson (1:1): ¥7,500/$50 per hour
Online semi-private lesson (2:1): ¥4,500/$35 per hour per person
In-person private lesson (1:1): ¥9,000/$60 per hour
In-person semi-private lesson (2:1): ¥5,000/$35 per hour per person
